Just as good food nourishes our bodies, God nourishes our hearts and souls......

We had a wonderful evening of fellowship last night during our Nutrition for Life! event.  Not only did we learn about how good food nourishes our bodies to fight against cancer and other diseases and how to make healthy choices, we also shared about how God has nourished us through difficult times.  It was great hearing everyone's story's of God's grace, love and mercy.  He is so faithful to us and we all agreed that He is there in the worst of times to draw us close to Him for comfort, peace, learning and growth.  It was evident through the testimonies shared last night that God provides nourishment for our hearts, minds, souls and bodies through fellowship, friends, family, good food, prayer and scripture.

"The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth."  Psalm 145:18

A Little Work, a Lot of Fun!

We had so much fun at tonight's missions night. We worked on making port pillows tonight.  These are little pillows that attach to the seatbelt to keep it from rubbing against the port.  I wish I had thought of making one of these when I still had my port!  We are making this first batch out of old survivor tshirts from Relay for Life so each one will say SURVIVOR!
We also discussed our upcoming Cookbook fundraiser!  Start searching through your recipes now, we will be asking for your best, healthies recipes in the coming days.  Look for more to come on this shortly!
